I had to buy this because the OEM burn. I actually don't know what happen we star getting the Red/Yellow light. After reading in a bunch of forum, Facebook, etc. Everyone advise that the problem was this part. Instruction are terrible. All the connectors are the same except for the one that come from the battery. You will have to cut all 4 wire that come from the battery arnes and solder the red/black to the new adapter. Is not complicated but is not easy specially if you don't know how to solder. Once you finish all the connection you will have to download the Vesc tool App to connect and set up engine and battery amp just follow the video in YouTube "Indy Speed Control Vesc tool App" that's the easy part. You will see and increase in speed and is going to eat the battery faster if your kid ride a lot he may be able to do 35-45min before you will see the battery die.
